This frame caused a big reaction when I posted it on my Instagram. At one point I thought I ruined it, but with a few more hours of work, it's now absolutely perfect. The outer frame has been painted in a gorgeous complex mauve colour, and the inside one has been gilded in brass leaf. The addition of faux pears against the two different velvet fabrics makes this frame truly unique. The large gilded snake is still in my opinion the crown jewel of this piece.
